Grading Policy for Jr High
Students are encouraged to always do their very best. A student’s grade may consist of but not limited to class and home work, interactive notebook (TCI), tests, quizzes, spelling, vocabulary, essays, presentations and projects. Points will be deducted if any assignment is incomplete, missing, and/or turned in late.
*Grades will be weighed accordingly: Tests - 40%, Quizzes - 30%, Class/Home Work - 5%, and Performance/Projects - 25%

Homework Policy for Jr High
In order for students to master concepts taught in class, students will practice concepts on a regular basis. Therefore, homework is assigned daily and at times on weekends. Students will write all assigned homework in their student planner. All homework must include the student's name, number, date, and section number on top of the page. It must be legible, neat, complete and is due the following day. Students should answer questions in complete sentences. Any late/missing work will only be accepted the following day at the beginning of class. It is the student’s responsibility to turn in their work. Any three (3) missing/incomplete assignments will need to attend Homework Help to complete assignments.
Absence Policy for Jr High
If your student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to ask classmates and /or the teacher for the assignments. It may include class work, group work, social studies hand-outs and/or homework assignments which must be turned in the following day. If the assignment(s) are not turned on time it will be graded accordingly. Assignments are collected at beginning of class.
Bathroom Policy for Jr High
Students should go to the restroom at home, before school, during recess, lunch time, and after school. Students will not be allowed to use the bathroom when the lower grades are in recess or lunch. In case of an emergency, an exception will be made. Students must sign out and sign in upon return.
